Health Signal Monitor
Last updated: April 1, 2026
Overview
Health Signal Monitor is a privacy-first iPhone app that reads selected Apple Health data to help users notice changes in their personal baseline patterns and suggest possible follow-up actions when more information may be useful.
This app is designed so that raw Health data stays on the device by default.
Health Data We Access
Depending on the permissions you grant, the app may read selected Apple Health data such as resting heart rate, sleep analysis, step count, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, weight, blood pressure, ECG metadata, and workouts.
The app may also store journal entries or symptom/context notes that you enter directly in the app.
What Stays On Device
- Raw HealthKit samples are read from Apple Health when needed and are not cached locally by the app.
- The app stores derived summaries, baselines, explanation history, prompt history, journal entries, HealthKit anchors, authorization state, and capability state on the device.
- Local database files use iOS file protection, and the local database key is kept in Keychain.
What Leaves The Device
- Cloud analysis is off in the current app build.
- The app does not send raw health data to our servers because the current app does not operate a cloud backend for analysis.
- If you choose to contact support by email, the information you include in that email leaves your device through your email provider.
- No health-derived summaries are exported unless a future version adds an explicit user-controlled export or external processing flow.
How We Use Data
- To compute baseline-aware summaries and app explanations.
- To determine whether the app has enough recent information to make a bounded statement.
- To present follow-up suggestions, notifications, and explanation history inside the app.
- To store your journal/context entries locally on your device.
Sharing And Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. The current app build does not include cloud analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party advertising.
If a future version adds external processing or export features, those flows should be explicit and user-controlled.
Your Controls
- You control which Apple Health permissions you grant.
- You can turn selected Health data retrieval on or off inside the app.
- You can delete local app data using the app’s delete/reset controls.
- You can manage Health permissions through the Apple Health app and iOS Settings.
In the current app, deleting all data clears the local database, Keychain entries, prompt history, explanation history, journal entries, and resets first-launch state.
Important Boundary
Health Signal Monitor is intended for informational and decision-support purposes only. It does not diagnose conditions, rule out medical issues, provide emergency monitoring, or replace professional medical care.
